Terry Monahan

Senior Editorial Manager, PLOS ONE

Prior to joining PLOS, Terry was the managing editor for the open-access journal, the International Journal of Eye Banking (eyebankingjournal.org), which launched September 1, 2012. Terry’s background is in writing and editing, starting out in newspapers and moving to magazines after getting an MFA at the University of Iowa. She has been a staff writer on four newspapers, a freelance magazine writer, the editor of five magazines and the founder and editor of two—including, most recently, The History Channel Magazine.

A transplant from Minneapolis, Terry became obsessed with cooking a few years ago when she picked up Julia Child’s My Life in France and has been making a mess ever since.
