Sebastian Toomey

Interaction Designer

Sebastian is the interaction designer for all PLoS products. He was a professional woodworker before deciding he wanted to keep all ten of his fingers and abandoning the table saw in favor of a keyboard. He holds an MS in Architecture/Industrial Design from Georgia Tech and has over eight years of experience in web and user interface design. Sebastian is passionate about Open Access and the democratizing power of the internet. He enjoys making art, surfing (in the ocean, not the Web) with his partner, Janna, and building sand castles with his five year-old daughter, Ava.
