Michael is a Steinbeck Oklahoman transplanted back to San Francisco. Having completed his Master’s in Library Science from Indiana University, he’s keenly aware of the virtues of the open access model, and is looking forward to extolling said virtues to whomever will listen. His research interests are descriptive bibliography, typography, and medical illustration in the hand press period. When not in academia, Michael is a cartoonist, jogger, and rare book collector.
