James Harney

Web Technologies Manager

James comes to PLoS from a political theory background, where his studies in issues surrounding intellectual property led to his interest in advancing the freedom of information and ideas, and his commitment to the open access movement. He has a B.A. in Government and Philosophy from Cornell University and an M.A. from UC Berkeley, where he is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science. Originally from Detroit, James now lives in East Bay with his partner, who works at another local nonprofit.
