Barbara Lau graduated from UCLA with a degree in Marine Biology. She likes water and tends to travel to places with lots of it. She enjoys running, hiking, exploring, and going to baseball games. She wholeheartedly supports PLoS and open access since knowledge should be enjoyed and shared by all.
