Just spotted an interesting letter [7] in last week's Lancet discussing selective reporting of clinical trials. This may sound like something you've heard many times before (eg here [8]) but in the Lancet letter the authors describe what happenned to trials for which the original protocols were posted on Lancet's own website [9].

Journal Websites - Topaz 0.9 rc1 Upgrade [14]

Last night, we upgraded the journal websites to Topaz 0.9 rc1 [15] (rc1 because this is a “beta” 0.9 release). The development for this release focused on performance and stability - specifically to alleviate the sluggish speed of the websites and the pain of ingests.

The US presidential campaign, while fascinating [18], tends to overshadow policy debates in other countries.
This week the debate about safe-injection sites in Canada again reared its ugly head. Safe-injection sites, which exist in only a few cities in the world, are health facilities that allow injection drug users to legally use under supervision, with the aim of reducing harm to users’ health and to the public.
