Last week, the Web team [1] launched the Advanced Browse functionality and a link to a larger view of the Featured Image on the ToC (*) on all AP hosted PLoS journals. Today, the web team launched a revised 3-column layout of the Biology [2], Medicine [3], Computational Biology [4], Genetics [5], and Pathogens [6] home pages. The main goal of this redesign is to increase the emphasis given to editorial contents. This redesign is a direct result of a collaborative effort between the Web and Editorial teams, with Celine [7] leading the web design and development.

From a web design and production standpoint, this launch also achieves a major improvement: we moved the web styles component back in-house!
