Hi, I notice that when I access plos pages (both the journal pages and just the blog) my Firefox freezes very noticeably for a full second or two while loading. Has anyone else seen/reported this? It seems to be quite independent of network speed. -Anders This should be fixed now - or at least vastly improved - on www.plos.org and on the journal static pages (journals.plos.org URLs). We expect to have this fixed on the journal sites later this week. Please contact the webmaster if you're still having major problems with freezes. Thanks! Yes, it seems to be much better now, as you say. Great! Just being curious, what was the cause? I have never seen something like that before. I did a quick check with YSlow on the plos pages but found nothing suspicious. Thanks |
