Welcome to the PLoS BlogBlogrollWho Links to Us?Cecy Marden's blogCall for Designs: The PLoS Computational Biology 2010 T-shirtSubmitted by Cecy Marden on Tue, 2010-03-16 08:13.
This year’s ISMB will be the debut of the newest addition to the PLoS T-shirt collection and we want you to design it. We have heard tales of PLoS T-shirts being spotted across the globe; from Hawaiian mountain-tops to the historic streets of Cambridge, England – we know you enjoy wearing them. We want the T-shirt to feature an eye-catching design which appeals to the computational biology community and encapsulates a recent advance or innovation in the field. ( categories: In the News )
PLoS Computational Biology at ISMBSubmitted by Cecy Marden on Thu, 2010-03-11 04:32.
At the end of last month we were pleased to hear that our workshop proposal, entitled ‘Where and How to Get Published’ had been accepted by Intelligent Systems for Molecular Biology (ISMB) 2010. We hope that a wide range of perspectives on how best to get research published will make this workshop invaluable to those just starting out on their careers. We are very excited that our involvement in the International Society for Computational Biology’s annual meeting is set to continue and more details will follow when the timing of the workshop is confirmed in May. Send PLoS a postcard from PSBSubmitted by Cecy Marden on Thu, 2009-12-10 06:05.
If you are attending the Pacific Symposium on Biocomputing (PSB) PLoS Computational Biology invites you to send us a postcard! PLoS Conference Postcards represent a novel way to report important innovations and current research efforts presented at a scientific conference as told by upcoming members of the scientific community. Your “postcard” will focus on one of the highlights of PSB – a keynote, paper presentation, poster session, software demonstration, or tutorial. All Postcards will be considered by the Editors and those selected will be published in PLoS Computational Biology as part of an article summarizing the conference. ( categories: Publishing )
